Tom Mantel

(Israel), Viola

Tom Mantel, born in 2003, began studying violin at age 7 and then began studying viola at 13. He received his early musical education at The Jerusalem Academy for Music and Dance Conservatory under Mr. Itzhak Bukinski, and later studied with Ms. Ludmila Feldman at the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music in Tel Aviv. Currently, he is pursuing his studies at the Colburn Conservatory under Professor Tatjana Masurenko. Tom’s performance experience includes chamber concerts with professors from the Keshet Eilon faculty and members of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra. His orchestral experience spans the Israel Youth Philharmonic, the Pan Caucasian Youth Orchestra, the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music Symphony Orchestra, and the Colburn Orchestra. Among his achievements, Tom won First Prize in the 2023 Buchmann-Mehta School of Music String Competition and has been awarded scholarships from the America-Israel Cultural Foundation (AICF) for the years 2019-2025. He has been a participant in the prestigious Keshet Eilon Mastercourse from 2022 to 2024.

Loor Jabareen

(Israel), Violin

Loor Jabareen, born in Haifa, Israel in 2006, began studying the violin at age six. She attended the Rubin Music Conservatory in Haifa under Mr. Yevgeni Apter and currently studies with him. Loor has performed with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra as part of the Mafteach Program, with the Tel Aviv Soloists Orchestra and the Rubin Conservatory Advanced Orchestra. She has been an AICF scholarship recipient since 2021. Her prizes include the Gold Medal Award at the State Solo and Ensemble Festival in Sacramento (2019) and first prize at the Keshet Eran Festival (2023). Loor has participated in the Perlman Music Program since 2023, including summer, winter, and spring residencies, and in the Bronisław Huberman Music Festival in Germany and the Zeister Muziekdagen Festival in the Netherlands. She has attended Keshet Eilon seminars since 2016.

Joseph Staten

(USA), Cello

Acclaimed for his “warm lyrical expressiveness” and incredible technique, cellist Joseph Staten enjoys a varied career in demand as both soloist and chamber musician, with continuous engagements in New York and an invitation to participate in the Marlboro Music Festival for a third year. He has been featured on NPR’s Performance Today, Marlboro Historical Performances, The Violin Channel, WQXR, and many other platforms.
Joseph has collaborated with such artists as Misha Amory, Jonathan Biss, Guy Braunstein, Hsin-Yun Huang, Kim Kashkashian, Joseph Lin, Tatjana Mazurenko, Anna Polonsky, Mark Steinberg, and Carmit Zori, among others. He earned his Master’s at the Juilliard School with Timothy Eddy, and his Bachelor’s and Performance Diploma at the Peabody Institute with Amit Peled, to whom Joseph served as assistant in teaching technique class. Joseph is a DMA candidate at the CUNY Graduate Center, studying with Marcy Rosen. He has been a participant in the prestigious Keshet Eilon Mastercourse.

Jessica Wu

(USA), Violin

Jessica Wu, from New York City, is pursuing her Bachelor’s in Medical Humanities at Columbia University while studying violin with Lewis Kaplan at Juilliard through the Columbia-Juilliard Exchange. An accomplished chamber musician, she has participated in multiple programs including the NYYS Chamber Music Program and won the 2022 Lincoln Center Young Ensembles Program, performing at Alice Tully Hall. Jessica has worked with musicians from the New York Philharmonic and collaborated with conductors including Susanna Mälkki and Christian Eschenbach. She has served as concertmaster for both Pre-College Orchestra and LaGuardia Senior Orchestra, and has performed as a soloist with various orchestras including the Bravura Philharmonic Orchestra. Her international experience includes performances at Universität Mozarteum Sommerakademie, Bach Virtuosi Festival, National Symphony Orchestra’s Summer Music Institute, Lucerne Festival Academy, and the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival. A 2022 graduate of LaGuardia High School and Juilliard Pre-College, Jessica has received numerous awards and scholarships. Jessica will be attending the Keshet Eilon 2025 Mastercourse.

Eithan Mikhanovsky

(Israel), Cello

Eithan Mikhanovsky was born in August 2013 into a musical family in Jerusalem. Both his father and grandfather are cellists, with his father performing in the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra. Eithan began his musical journey at age 5 with piano, before taking up the cello at age 7. He currently studies at the music conservatory in Ra’anana, Israel, under the guidance of Luba Rabin.
Eithan’s remarkable talent has earned him numerous accolades, including first place in the All Israel Competition for Young Musicians in March 2023, and first place in the “Flame” International Competition in Paris in July 2023. In January 2024, he achieved a significant milestone when he performed as a soloist with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra.
His success has continued, with a first-prize win at the “Vivace” Israel Competition in October 2024. Most recently, in January 2025, Eithan was featured as a soloist in a music festival in Tallinn and Narva, performing under the direction of Maestro Andres Mustonen.
Eithan has participated in the 2023-2024 Keshet Eilon seminars for young musicians.

Matthew Graybil

(USA), Piano

Praised by The New Yorker as an “exceptional young artist”, American pianist Matthew Graybil has performed throughout the United States, Canada, France and Holland and Mexico in venues such as Carnegie’s Weill Recital Hall, Le Poisson Rouge, Verizon Hall at the Kimmel Center and Lincoln Center. He has appeared on radio and television, including WNYC, WQXR, WWFM, CBS Chicago, the Discovery Channel and PBS. Since making his orchestral debut at age 14, he has performed with the Fort Worth Symphony and the National Chamber Players among others. He has been a prizewinner in the MTNA/Yamaha National Piano Competition, the New York Piano Competition, the National Foundation for the Advancement of the Arts, the Juilliard Gina Bachauer Competition, Missouri Southern International Piano Competition and the Wideman International Piano Competition. Graybil was a pupil of Harvey Wedeen for six years and completed his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from The Juilliard School, where he worked with Jerome Lowenthal and Matti Raekallio.

Keshet Eilon Music Center is an international education hub of violin and string instruments, bringing together the finest teachers and top young musicians from Israel and around the world and nurturing them to become tomorrow’s virtuosos, chamber musicians, orchestra leaders, teachers and music lovers.

Through the unifying force of music we gather young musicians from diverse communities, cultures and religions across the globe to promote harmonious communities and close social gaps.

Some of our students have joined the top echelons of the music world as soloists, and members in the world’s most prestigious orchestras such as the Israel, Berlin, London, New York and Boston philharmonic orchestras. Our graduates are among Israel’s best goodwill ambassadors around the world.

Since its establishment, Keshet Eilon has impacted audiences of over half a million supporters, more than 1650 young musicians from over 50 countries and some of the best music teachers in the world.

What do we do?

Summer Master Course

Our purpose built campus located in the Northern Galilee offers an internationally renowned summer master course with the best teachers in the world, invaluable concert hall performance experience, individual and master class lessons, as well as chamber music and ensemble coaching. Study and training in superbly equipped music spaces, a top-quality concert hall and a spacious residential environment promote an atmosphere of closeness and partnership, making the program much loved by students and faculty alike.

Semi-annual Seminars

We conduct semi-annual seminars to nurture Israeli string students.

Concert Series

We present a rich community concert series.

Outreach Programs

We hold outreach programs for marginalized communities and provide significant support for music education in local Arab villages.
